Before we tell you about this weekend we need to tell you about last weekend:
Last weekend ROCKED. We got vids and pics from the action: Another Animal and Alter Bridge down at the free Bud Light/FM99 Mill Point Park on Friday and Saturday was the Colonial Italian American Organization’s (CIAO, get it?) Wine Tasting, where we sampled over 40 different wines, some several times, different italian food vendors and saw some very nice cars.

So everyone was all excited about the free show. Creed, minus Scott Stap and plus a new guy, was playing Mill Point Park in Hampton, and to top it 0ff, Godsmack was opening up with the lead singer from Ugly Kid Joe in the front seat instead of the guy that usually sings on the Army commercials. We wanted to get their early because we knew the place would be packed with people from all over South Hampton Roads. It was.
Jeff, Stacy and I headed up to pre-game at Goody’s about half hour before the show for food and wound up making it down to the park about half way thru Another Animal’s set. There was quite a crowd out for the small 2 acre park. Another Animal rocked thru some original tracks and a cover of ‘Fire’. It was fun but I was slightly underwhelmed.
The changing of the stage took quite a long time and it seemed that the crowd was getting antsy waiting for the headliner to finally take the stage, or maybe they were getting pissed off having to wait in line for their turn at the port-o-pisser. Really, for a free concert sponsored by a beer company, you think they would have planned for more than 4 toilets. I swear I saw more public urination that day in Hampton than I ever have any day of my life.
Alter Bridge took the stage and I was blown away with their energy. The band played a tight set and threw out a surprise when vocalist Miles Kennedy did a solo rendition of Halleluiah.
Here’s some video.
The show was over before we knew it and we all had a blast. The party went all the way thru till Saturday, where we sampled some great wines at the Colonial Italian American Organization event.

There’s more pics up on the Flickr page.
